BBC NEWS: World's first methane powered tractor created in Italy

Engineers in Italy have found a way to harness methane to fuel tractors.

The greenhouse gas is produced naturally by animals digesting food or decomposing waste.

Mass production is due to start in five years and it could be a major step in reducing carbon emissions in farming.
